Hemerocallis
'Catherine Woodbury'
Breeder:Frank and Peggy Childs,1967

An historic variety created by Frank and Peggy Childs who devoted their life to breeding daylilies.
'Catherine Woodbury' has beautiful large , very pale pink flowers with a pretty lavender hue, and a wide green throat.
It has been repeatedly used - in the sixties - by other breeders.
Loved especially by the famous breeder Bill Munson, it became the foundation of his famous watermarked eyes, mainly in mauve and purple tones .
A flower 6'' in diameter 'Catherine Woodbury' is still one of the most popular and sought after daylilies in the British Isles .
The entire plant reaches 30'' .
This variety has won several awards from The American Hemerocallis Society: the Junior citation, in 1967, the Award of Merit, in 1973 and the Honourable Mention , in 1970.
