Clematis cirrhosa
Winter clematis
Ranuncolacee
It is a small spontaneous clematis, discovered by Clusius in 1575, precious for its winter blossoming . Like C. vitalba and other species of this kind, it clings wherever, scrub bushes and old telephone poles ( it is very beautiful when it covers the thorny prickly pears) covering them up with a very rich flowering of delicate white flowers with no scent, that quickly turn into in winged seeds in the shape of silver tassels.
