Original from South Africa, Ethiopia and Arabia this lovely plant is well adapted in the most arid zones of the Mediterranean area, where it is grown for its handsome , fleshy foliage and its showy , bell-shaped, red orange coloured flowers.
Very appreciated for its long winter blooming, it has found one of the best habitat in Sardinia, where rainfall is poor.
